I was planning to last 24 laps at this inaugural Virtual Quarantine Backyard Ultra organised by Personal Peak Endurance in Canada.
However, after 12 laps (80kms), it was clear that the first 7 laps on concrete had done some damage to the joints. As I age, I need to be more careful about running long distances on hard surface.
It was a windy night in Melbourne. The morning was very fresh, typical of autumn weather in this region.
